Lunar Eclipse October 8th 2014 AEST
The season of eclipses is upon us. This one is called the Hunters Moon (following the Harvest moon of last month) in the Northern Hemisphere. It is also a blood moon. Coupled with Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, the most intense of signs, and a T square between Sun/Uranus an Pluto, things are about to heat up.
Scorpio is all about money, death, sex, change and transformation and things could become explosive both at home and around the world. Big events will occur in the world that will affect us all on some level and Pluto (the ruler of Scorpio) also deals with death, destruction, nuclear weapons, oil and bullies in the world. Get ready for things to get volatile and tense.
The eclipse is 15 degrees Aries, making it even more powerful as Aries is a fire sign which will have a direct ‘take charge’ nature. Uranus is in Aries at the moment and is triggered by the eclipse – so look for major news in the world of a surprising and unexpected nature. Uranus is all about rebellion, freedom at any cost, separating oneself from things that have unduly tied us down and separation from what is the norm. This will influence governments and the people they govern.
On a personal level the eclipse will affect Libra, Aries, Cancer and Capricorn to the greatest degree or those who have planets in these signs from 12 – 17 degrees. The moon is conjunct Uranus triggering unexpected events of a surprising nature – but most of all freedom at any cost. With this volatile energy this is not the time to push issues, unless you are totally prepared for the consequences. You will probably not get a passive response. As Venus is square Pluto there will be some hurt feelings and intensity. Things like money, love, partnerships and values will be tested.
This eclipse affects the US chart, Hong Kong, ISIL and many others. It is a dangerous and potentially violent, volatile period in the world and after this eclipse is over many changes will have occurred. – Jyoti Eagles
